On this day: April the 23rd

On this day in 1957 the Midget Autopia opens in Disneyland. It is the third (and smallest) Autopia track, following the Tomorrowland Autopia (1955) and the Junior Autopia in Fantasyland (1956). The Midget Autopia, located right next to the Storybook Land Canal Boats, is for very young guests who are too small to ride the other Autopia attractions.

(It will close in April 1966 and be donated to Walt Disney’s boyhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri.)

I've never been to Disney, but am planning a trip within the next 5 years. I'm a huge sports fan and avidly follow Football, American Football, Ice Hockey and Baseball. I also spend a lot of my free time learning programming languages, building websites and apps. I am an avid comic book fan, and can regularly be found watching the Marvel films and Star Wars.
